We are all painfully aware of the tragedies that have hit Southwest Florida and more areas of the state in the wake of Hurricane Ian. Our thoughts and prayers are with all members and Floridians that were impacted by the storm.
FSAE is collecting funds to contribute to Volunteer Florida's Florida Disaster Fund, an official State of Florida private fund that distributes funds directly to organizations that serve individuals and communities with disaster relief and recovery.
Yesterday, the FSAE Boards of Directors installed a new Chair in a special election. We are pleased to announce that the FSAE 2022-23 Chair is Michele White, CAE!
You may have seen that FSAEs 2022-23 Chair Marsha Kiner has taken a new job. While Marsha is looking forward to being closer to family and helping the community she grew up in, her new opportunity is not in an association and changes her eligibility to be an Executive Member and Chair of FSAE.
Fall is a popular time for members to sit for both the Certified Association Executive (CAE) and Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) exams. FSAE is partnering with organizations to provide weekly, virtual study groups at the member rate!

The FSAE Foundation is proud to announce its 2022 Grant Recipients. Thanks to our generous corporate partners and member contributions, we’ve awarded 14 grants totaling $8,485 for professional development funding. The FSAE Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Committee has assembled articles and resources for organizations to begin or strengthen their DEI initiatives into a comprehensive DEI ToolKit. Below is a highlight of resources for Defining DEI Terms.

The Young & Emerging Professionals Committee will be holding a fundraiser virtually and at all FSAE events during the month of February. All funds raised will go directly to support initiatives of the FSAE Foundation. Click here for options to participate.
The mission of the FSAE Foundation is to support education, research, professional development, publications, and public relations efforts for the association management professional. Since 2002, the Foundation has awarded 365 grants totaling over $218,200 for members to attend educational conferences or earn their CAE/CMP designations.
Approximately 5.0 hours of continuing education can be earned in the Full Course, prior to the CAE application deadline. Approximately 27.0 hours can be used towards your CAE renewal.
Preparing for the CAE exam is crucial for your success. FSAE is partnering with the Michigan Society (MSAE) to offer multiple options for virtual prep courses and materials at the member rate. (Make sure to indicate you're an FSAE member to get the discount!)
