Preparing for the CAE or CMP exams is crucial for your success. FSAE is partnering with the Michigan Society (MSAE) and MPI - North Florida to offer virtual prep courses at the member rate!

Thanks to all members that participated in our recent Luncheons Survey. We had over 100 Executive members and almost 50 Associates participate. Survey consensus is that TIME is the biggest factor in attending lunch events. Everyone is busier than ever and getting away from the office is more difficult. Budgets for professional development also impact attendability.

The majority (66%) of Exec-respondents are located in Tallahassee and the best times of the year in general to attend a lunch are Jan-March (60%) and October-December (62%). Additionally, 58% prefer the variety of frequent events over longer, more topic-specific events with the education provided being as an important factor.

CAE Virtual Prep Course with Michigan SAE

 Approximately 5.0 hours of continuing education can be earned in the Full Course, prior to the CAE application deadline. Approximately 27.0 hours can be used towards your CAE renewal.

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Holiday Drive to support Capital City Youth Services. CCYS provides services that promote the healthy development of youth and families in the Big Bend area.

We are pleased to report that we donated over 125 items to CCYS for the children who need their services. Some of the items collected from our December Power Luncheon are included below. Thank you all for your generosity!

During our November & December in-person events, FSAE is collecting donations for the children at Capital City Youth Services. CCYS provides services that promote the healthy development of youth and families in the Big Bend area and works with homeless, runaway, and at-risk youth. Services include temporary housing, counseling, outreach programs and safe places. Items most needed throughout the year include hygiene and survival items, clothing and home goods/linens.

In May 2021, eighteen FSAE members gathered at the Opal Grand Beach Resort & Spa in Delray Beach for the first in-person meeting most members had attended in over a year. The two-day event's focus was a deep-dive in member engagement led by facilitator Joshua Evans. Think Tank is an interactive meeting of a small group of association professionals that contemplate a single topic regarding the association management profession. In March, FSAE conducted a survey of Executive Members regarding their meetings this year. We gathered data on 2021 conference plans, anticipated meeting sizes, feelings about travel, and their challenges & needs to better plan for meetings. Also included is information on sourcing RFPs and criteria changes for future meetings.

This survey provides insightful data on the current meetings atmosphere for Florida's association industry, so we are sharing the results. Hopefully this helps you as you move forward with your future in-person meetings.
